Scotland Adventure Weekend:

Ben Nevis & The Lost Valley

Ready for an unforgettable weekend of adventure, breathtaking views, and a real sense of achievement? Join me for a two-day hiking adventure in Scotland where we’ll conquer the stunning Ben Nevis on day one and explore the mystical Lost Valley in Glencoe on day two. This weekend is perfect if you’re ready to challenge yourself, soak in the beauty of the Highlands, and enjoy the company of like-minded women.

🌿 Day 1: Ben Nevis – Standing on Top of the UK
We’ll kick things off with the ultimate challenge—
Ben Nevis (1,345m), the highest mountain in the UK. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a pro! While the ascent is long and demanding, we’ll take it at a steady pace, with plenty of breaks to catch our breath and enjoy the jaw-dropping views. The route follows the Mountain Track, a well-trodden path that takes us through diverse landscapes—from lush greenery to rocky paths and even the chance of snow at the summit!

  • Distance: 10.5 miles (17 km) round trip

  • Ascent: 1,345m

  • Time: 9-10 hours

  • Difficulty: Strenuous, but we will do amazing together with breaks and a supportive group

  • Start time: 6am

  • Start point: Ben Nevis Visitor Centre Car Park, Fort William

🏔️ Highlights:

  • Reaching the highest point in the UK—an incredible achievement!

  • Stunning views over Loch Linnhe and beyond (weather permitting!)

  • A real sense of accomplishment and camaraderie

🌿 Day 2: The Lost Valley – Hidden Beauty of Glencoe
After conquering Ben Nevis, day two brings a gentler but equally stunning adventure to
The Lost Valley (Coire Gabhail) in Glencoe. This mystical glen, once used by the MacDonalds to hide cattle, is steeped in history and natural beauty. The route is shorter but still offers a bit of a challenge, with some rocky sections and a bit of scrambling, making it the perfect cool-down hike after our big day.

  • Distance:2.5 miles (4 km) round trip

  • Ascent: 300m

  • Time: 2-3 hours

  • Difficulty: Moderate with some rocky terrain

🏔️ Highlights:

  • Discovering a hidden valley surrounded by towering peaks

  • Exploring Glencoe’s rich history and dramatic landscapes

  • A relaxed, scenic hike to reflect on the weekend’s adventures
